Abstract
Abd al-Qahir al-Jurjani, in the presentations and
delays topic, with a careful look, examines the
question methods and refers to the Secondary
purposes of interrogation. The present study
examines the implications of the presentations and
delays in the structures of utilization in accordance
with the Jorjani viewpoint and the meaning
differences of the question methods, if used after the
use of the name or verb. This descriptive-analytic
study concludes that Jorjani has paid attention to the
place of secondary meanings by carefully examining
rhetorical question. The present study was conducted
by descriptive, explanatory and analytical methods.
In the explanatory phase, the causes of submission
and delay in question structures were explained, and
this phenomenon was covered by the general laws
that determine its nature. In the analytical stage, the
main content of the examples was examined. Jurjani
believes that any change in the meaning of the
structure is due to the fact that sometimes the term
precedes, especially when it comes to the benefits of
meaning, or because of the attention it attaches to it.
